Choir

St. James Church has a long established Senior Choir and a newly-revived Youth Choir composed of parishioners who volunteer their time and talent. Membership is open to all; there are no auditions for either choir. The choirs are augmented by weekly soloists. The choirs sing a wide variety of music culled from many sources to enhance the worship experience of all who attend. Children should be able to read and take direction easily to participate in this ministry. Music By the Bridge

To open the season Mark Engelhardt of Grace Episcopal Church, Salem, MA will provide a “Frightfully Spooktacular” organ recital on the church’s Estey pipe organ on October 26^th, 2008. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume for the concert. Snacks will follow in the parish auditorium. Organ selections included Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in d minor”, Gounod’s “Funeral March of the Marionettes”, and other pieces from different genres and centuries chosen around the Halloween theme.
